T.G.I… Friday Favorite

bathbombHappy Friday! This has felt like the LONGEST week and all I can dream about is summer vacation. Not that we’re going on an actual vacation, just ready for my babes to be out of school! This week’s favorite is not something I newly discovered, but something I LOVE and know you will too. As I’ve mentioned before, I prefer a bath over a shower…and my favorite thing to put in my bath is a Bath Bomb from Lush.  They are Heaven on earth. There are lots of different fragrances, but my go-to is the Butterball and my runner up is the Honey Bee. You drop this little baby in your bath and not only does it smell great, but your skin will be super soft and hydrated. The Bath Bombs have essential oils and are made of all natural products, you’ll feel like you’ve had a spa experience! I buy them in bulk (don’t worry I get a discount Kev, if you’re reading this!) because once you’ve had a Bath Bomb bath you can never go back to average bathing! I can’t wait for you to try! Happy Memorial Weekend!

ps- Funny story. Last night, while in my bath bomb infused bath I get a Face Time call from a girlfriend who rarely Face Time’s me. I answer with my mascara smeared under my eyes, a cucumber hydrating mask on and my hair in a horrible bun, figuring it didn’t matter, she’s seen me worse. After saying hello several times I can see that she has the phone in her purse pointed perfectly up at her. SURELY she secretly Face FullSizeRender (22)Timed me because the person she was talking to was about to give a murder confession and she wanted me to witness. I mean, that’s what you would think , right? I tried to hear what the conversation was…but I couldn’t make it out. What if she was about to be abducted and was giving me a signal…then…the husband of a friend she was out with grabs her phone. I wanted to DIE. Don’t worry, only my face was in the frame but I wasn’t prepared to see anyone! Long story short, no confession, no undercover mission. Just an accidental dial. We were both laughing about it this morning 😉

Now that we are in mid-May, wedding season is in full effect. There was once a year that Kev and I went to 9 weddings in one summer. This year, so far, we only have two weddings scheduled but it’s still early! Along with the actual wedding comes the bridal shower. Generally people buy off the registry but I always like to do something a little different. I’ve found over the years, when doing hair and make up for brides that the “something blue” is usually the last thing the bride is able to find. Continue reading “T.G.I…Friday Favorite”

The Beauty in Perspective…

For the last two months  all I have been living and breathing is packing and unpacking and contractors and painters and furniture and deposits and late nights and fast food and a little bit of craziness. The reason: my husband and I bought a new house, yay! As exciting as it has been- I think…NO, I know, it’s also been equally exhausting! Moving is for the birds, and moving while 3 kids still need to go to school and their activities- well it’s pretty much insanity but we know the work and stress will be short lived and the glory will soon arise, just as soon as we can catch our breath! During the house buying and moving process I’ve had quite a few…moments. Some good, some informative, some awakening, some stressful and of course- some crazy! So excuse my choppy post, as I feel like I have so much to get out and my brain is moving much quicker than my fingers can type (also-much quicker than my mouth can talk lately, seems I can’t get a proper sentence out!) while I share one of my recent “moments.” Continue reading “The Beauty in Perspective…”
